How is this different from a shared lead?
On a shared lead you're one of several tradies ringing the same homeowner, and the quickest dialler tends to win. Here, once you take a job, its contact details are yours alone. Other electricians in the area may have seen the job itself, but never the homeowner's number or email.
The homeowner has also ticked a box agreeing that one local electrician can contact them about this job, so your call is expected.
What comes with each job
- The kind of job, picked from ten options, from switchboards and EV chargers to rewiring an older home.
- How soon they need it, from today through to just planning.
- Their suburb and first name, plus their own description of the problem if they wrote one.
- Once you take it: their mobile number, which we've checked is real, and their email if they gave one.
- A record of the consent they gave.
Who we're looking for
Electricians registered with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) who hold a current practising licence, in a registration class that covers the work. We also need public liability insurance and an active NZBN.
Most of all, specialists. If you're the person locals ring for switchboard upgrades, EV chargers, rewiring old villas and bungalows, Healthy Homes extractor fans for landlords, or faults nobody else can find, those are the jobs we want to send you.
What's settled, and what your agreement covers
Settled: one electrician gets each homeowner's details, every homeowner agrees to be contacted first, and we don't do electrical work. Your written agreement covers the price, the contract terms, and what happens with a job whose details turn out to be wrong, and you'll have it before you take any job. Pricing explains the two options in plain English.
